Why would a jury of Bostonians acquit most of the British soldiers who was indicted for killing Boston residen?

i'm not counting words homework acquitted because mob threatening them , physically attacking them rocks. remember, rocks can kill if hit in head. soldiers fired in self defense fear of lives let off easily. 1 has remember "patriotic" mobs notorious tarring , feathering people didn't (loyalists). had potential painful death once again, self defense. if @ objective viewpoint, "patriots" violent terrorist incited mob violence, torture, , lynching against disagreed ways.
