basically, make noise bears know there.

live in yukon territory, , see bears time. can "bear bells" - bell wear makes gentle noise. bears hate confrontation, , rather go away deal you. may charge if close, but, that's make go away. extremely rare bear hunt humans. need treated respect, but, possible close bears, , safe.

possible carry bear spray (as wilderness tour guide, company required me to). many that, but, being "bear aware" key. learn behaviours, , habitats, , difference between black, , grizzly bears, different things.

frankly, i'm lot happier in bush around bears in aus - guys have zillions of poisonous critters kill you! bears never do.

driving in snow - go slowly. simple that. great camping spots - there many mention.

what tips give me , boy friend?

wanted see country side , perhaps road trip. need non- lethal method of protection bears, whats law in canada re- guns etc? australia .
