Why is my Garmin GPS starting to fall off the windshield?

have had garmin gps 3 years now. has suction cup device stick windshield. lately have found keeps falling off randomly. suction cup wearing out or windshield dirty. can see i've stuck plenty of times , using window cleaner , ring leaves behind not go away. i've resorted not mounting because don't need gps keep falling off, don't want break.
