Join an orchestra possible?

have played violin 5 years & can play tell me to.. can improvise & learn complex songs ear. have been in orchestra in 6th grade , performed because state wanted me to. can read sheet music well. think have chance @ joining? i'm barely 18. have been naturally @ violin.
