Glasses improve vision in one eye only?

near sighted in 1 eye , far sighted in other. specifically, distance vision blurry in right eye, fine in left eye. got first pair of glasses last week , got them distance (because i'm not interested in bi-focals @ time). when wear glasses, distance vision improved in right eye, glasses make things in left eye blurry. in other words, wearing glasses switches eye clear , blurry. prescription wrong 1 eye, or else going on here? thanks.
