If you left Poland while it was under Communism, could you go back?

begin with? maybe making realize polish people couldn't leave poland @ times comfortably. had have permission go abroad , not easy get. if agreed collaborate communist party (which means - spy , after came back, supposed bring information abroad, either general data or particular people, in scientific environment or something).
bear in mind, life in time set in totally different circumstances. lol @ people writing bul***** freedom in poland under communism.

if left poland while under communism, example go university in country, go , live in poland again once you'd finished @ university?
