What's the difference between an iPod and an iPod touch?

i'm pretty sure can ipod touch 4th generation @ radio shack 175$. ipod 4 play games. there ipod 5, there isn't huge difference between 4th , 5th. 5th has siri, better picture quality, costs more , not compatible existing ipod accessories.

i want daughter ipod christmas. i'm looking @ refurbished 4th generation. aren't of 4th generation touch? want spend $175 or under. also, can play games on 4th?
