favorite goes 50s , 60s - used listen nhl broadcast when lived in michigan, naturally team detroit redwings. goalie terry sawchuk, before goalies wore facemasks. in late 50s or 60s watching game against canadians , saw him take puck face. carried him off ice. 20 minutes , 9 stitches later came out , finished game shutting out montreal's team - team had legendary maurice "the rocket" richard, brother henri, , equally legendary bernie "boom boom" geoffrion
