Why do newscasters say "thank you very much in-deed"?

it's called being obsequiously grateful going credit elses work.

how have seen smug , suited, sitting in warm tv studio, while talking dishevelled wreck reporting on missing puppy during hurricane in american shanty town?
either sarcasm aimed @ 'new kid'... or sarcasm aimed @ veteran job 'suit' occupies.

not politeness.

tv people it, radio presenters it...
