Guitar straps problem? help?

nope.
it's kind of vinyl 'fake' leather. washing either ruin or not plastic plastic , smell crap. advice take , real leather strap - still have couple bought 40 years ago , still use them -it's money well-spent real leather strap.

so bought kind of strap * not leather...
problem stinks :3
, im thinking if wash ?
okay ? wash it?
...
please?
