Paying Back a College Loan?

have subsidized loan through william d. ford federal direct loan program interest rate of 6.8% doesn't begin until after graduate college. i'm year away graduating. want start paying while still in school, not know if allowed.

so, have 3 questions. can begin paying while i'm still in school? also, can pay in lump sums, or payment plan have in place? lastly, able pay when want? in case cash becomes slim @ point in time. work 2 jobs, doubt happen, never know.
