I am having a hard time liking Bach's prelude & fugue.?

have studied , learned piece. know bach genius...melody, counter-melody, imitation, modulation...and how puts together.... think whole things still sound so...boring, , have no motivation learn it. if beethoven sonata or big chopin. can stay night , practice weeks because love piece. assigned practice prelude , fugue because teacher told me essential , can't graduate without ever playing one, feel crying because have no motivation whatsoever ;( can please me!!?
