When do you think i should start SAT prep?

i'm 13 year old girl, , i'm in 9th grade. (homeschooled, , started year early.) , wanted start sat prep year, mom told me thinks should wait, , used work load of highschool (i go co-op, , homework definetly lot more year last year. i'm managing , getting a's , b's.) when think should start? thinking next year. might start little bit year. should sat prep? , have in grade take sat's?
