Will USA video cassette tapes (VCR tapes) work on a European VCR?

no, won't able play ntsc tapes on pal vcr. "collide."

can play on multi-system vcr designed play both ntsc , pal tapes, such 1 of these:

vcr 1 can not play ntsc, pal , secam tapes, can convert between formats (so ntsc tape can play through onto pal tv monitor).

or, play on ntsc format vcr (you may need 220v50hz-to-110v60hz power adapter) , capture hardware , dvd authoring software can make pal dvd it.

will ntsc collide pal system? im trying copy old tapes dvd friend , have image capture programs , hardware, want know before start.
