My lastname is Spanish, but my paternal roots are from Germany, does this mean I have Spanish ancestry?

because, working false premise...
"my last name ....so must be...."
if last name lee, english or chinese? name "comes" both countries. many last names linked single place of origin, in reality, of them not. come multiple locations. of online surname sites mislead people info. actual genealogy place of origin ancestors. in cases, immigrant came 1 name , evolved/ changed somewhere along way. or, case, used stepfather's last name in school, chinese..he chinese on father's side, norwegian on mothers. bio ancestry polish.
so, let go of idea genealogy name, or comes from. surnames came multiple reasons..not country. genealogy means identify exact ancestors, , facts concerning them. don't forget, descended mother father (her name not leon @ birth) , same goes grandmothers.
confusing name origin person origin number 1 false idea new researchers.

my last name leon.
