Red spider mites or something else?

there lot of them on top of part of toilet , on wall above it. tiny , bright red. there appears eggs. 1 fell/jumped on leg when peeing , there 1 on toilet paper roll. i'm worried happen if start spreading out other rooms in house, because have pets. there definite way tell if red spider mites or else? , either way, dangerous pets or myself? should spray them bug spray or try squish them individually, or need call in?
