Dumb question about clay?

hole needs start out 3/16 inch diameter

shrink when clay dries , shrinks

hole can hidden
through mouth,
under collar
have few strands of hair obscuring hole

paint helps hide after firing

90 minute soak around 190f when firing

just answer nicely please.
if hollow out piece make lighter, , close hole made hollow out, empty on inside, wouldn't explode or during firing?
