I know that a corn snake will not eat my dog, but could it kill it?

corn snake not kill dogs. dog might kill corn snake if got out. if dog not aggressive towards snake snakes behavior no different crawling on dog when crawls on person. not mention corn snakes small not in position of killing short of mouse or small rat. :-)

share little tidbit parent unorthodox , not recommend kind of interaction others...

have 25 snakes (a small collection of 13 boas, 7 ball pythons, 1 carpet python, 2 cornsnakes, 1 kingsnake , 1 ratsnake) in terrariums.
have 1 black cat, 1 red phase iguana , 1 red ear slider have complete free roam of our home no cage. there 1 box turtle regular free roam of house play cat, iguana , res, has terrarium because small , not taking chance of forgetting , having accidentally stepping on him.

tidbit mentioned........one of our 8 foot 20+ lb boas (only one) absolutely adores our cat , think both think other own personal pet. whenever open house (the boa) our cat climbs house. can pet head , snuggle , adores him. can shove on if in "his spot" lol , graciously moves make sure has room requires. (our other snakes have no problem cat , has no problem them - funny these 2 have bonded closely. therefore occasionally, share bond select few people, there strong opinions out there not open minded)

snakes friendly , not have problem animal not show aggression towards them. (aside of course meal choice, rodent scented animals or actual rodents instinctively considered food item.) if however, dogs did show aggression towards snake nothing more bite , try away. constrict food not enemies. lastly, bite cornsnake (in fact snakes) open mouth strike, , if wash hand or whatever got bit, wash away , hardly able see pin pokes them. kitchen knife (pairing knife even) way more dangerous , can cause lot more damage snake, cornsnake. ;-)

luck , hope helps ease parents minds little. if allow 1 little time of them getting know snake , behavior before feel comfortable animal. of pretty sure. people, once give them chance find them. relaxing animal have. ;-)

so many people have said corn snake not eat small dog, able coil around dog , suffocate it? want corn snake , still trying convince parents, worried our dogs safety.
