My partner and I are going to New York for NYE and would love to see the ball drop?

if can't ts before 4 p.m., aren't able position watching ball drop. plus, if find hotel room @ late date, cost more $300 if it's anywhere near ts.

else said, watch on tv , can stay warm, able eat , able go bathroom!! not mention, have better view.

we've organised health reason waiting 4pm in times sq not possibility. have budget of $300 2 of us... ideas on do?
