Awake but in the middle of a dream?

okay going sound weird , i'm sure i'm not 1 has happened to. has happened once in life , last night. during middle of night, woke in bed have eyes open. in position saw room normal, weird images, specific standing in room facing closet. positive dreaming because there wasn't in room real can see person standing there. else around room way is, nothing weird except person , stock type ticker scrolling on closet doors. here comes weirder part. knew awake, couldn't move @ all, nor speak. remember trying move arm super stiff, , moment tried wake girlfriend up, remember trying had ripped out tongue, couldn't make noise. lasted couple of seconds, wasn't long @ all, , when seemed snap out of it, person , ticker gone in exact same position arm in air move , started talking. weird, i've never had happen. questions are, hell that, happened? , should expect happen more or once in while thing? freaked me out, trying bottom of it. happened once , hope never happens again.
