Got security questions wrong and locked out, how do i reset?

note: account made in india, change part of link address 'yahoo.com' correct country ending, such 'yahoo.com.in' (i don't know exact format.) lockout time many unsuccessful attempts @ logging in 24 hours last time attempt made. should wait out time period before other action.

if have forgotten both password , secret question answers, go page:

click on link , follow prompts. need zip/postal code, date of birth , alternative email address or mobile phone number when registered or last edited these details. answer sent alternate e-mail or mobile phone. check spam folder in case link goes there instead.

if not have alternate e-mail or mobile phone number registered account, out of luck!

1. yahoo! home page, click on user name in upper right.(you need signed in already) on answers page, on top left. on mail page username.
2. drop down select account info.
3. asked sign in again enter account info page.
4. under sign-in , security, click change password or update password - reset info. remember save changes ...
5. enter current password - again.
7. enter , confirm new password. enter twice.
8. click save. see confirmation page when have changed password.
9. click continue.
10. can change secret questions , answers here too, in update password-reset info area. yahoo allows invent own secret questions , answers unique , easier remember!

note: longer password, better, (at least 12 characters), , use mixed symbols, letters , numbers. start remembered sentence , make many substitutions. takes few hours crack 8-character alpha-numeric password these days. make secret questions , answers unique you, unchangeable, , unable guessed.
