Help with my Oboe sound?

started playing oboe in 6th grade , graduating middle school. on first year, sounded duck plastic reed , plastic selmer oboe. now, got 20$ wooden reed emerald f.loree paris professional oboe. took care of duck sounds, still doesn't sound right... watched many great oboists , sounded amazing. how sound them ever?

have part time weekend job , in second year @ university. make £500 month. according pension funds, if pay 10% (£50) month, company double , money government means pay less £50. there different types of funds available, easiest being 'target fund' investment company moves money based on age. there index trackers , other equities/funds. can advise better long time investment.
