How Do I make my Science teacher think that I am really smart?

go small school in 8th grade 40 kids. 1 of smartest feeling science teacher doesn't me whole lot or think extremely smart. did @ first thinking hard science fair projects after couple dumb moves , mistakes, feeling likes student smart, never gets trouble, , has amazing science fair project. science fair optional, , teacher gives extreme importance , loves students it. has gotten many awards teaching , because students great prizes in science fair. other person has probjects ocean acidity , red algae growth. ran out of time , had think of crappy project: how different surfaces affect speed of tennis ball? worried isn't , won't me much. im worried because want medcamp acceptance. has pick 2 students best , im afraid because want pick me. parents extremely mad @ me if don't.

please give ideas not involve me smooching , buttering up. think science fair project enough?
