Are Royal/Ball Pythons good pets?

yes!

considered best snake beginners, along corn snakes b/c docile.
have 6 snakes , ball python far sweetest--i think i'd die shock if hissed @ anything!!!!

stay pretty small too--females getting around 4ft, males staying smaller that, , people them lot b/c aren't skinny corn snakes. more girth bigger snake without getting length.

teeth pretty short too, plus in case ever bit--sharp, short.

cheap , popular, know can find them. can find free ones off of craigslist (just know healthy snake looks , check mouth rot , under scales mites) , cheap @ reptile expos (if don't buy colorful morph) , @ pet stores.
, if cared right, can live 25 years, don't worry getting older b/c live long time--which makes snakes quite commitment!!!!!!!! (though albinos tend not live long).

downside have bit prone feeding , shedding problems more of other snakes.
babies can refuse eat , starve death, , adults can go on fasts can last year (though won't loose weight @ if they're fasting).
can shed in patches , retain eye caps, or bleed bit when shedding (even humidity perfect).
other that, great snakes!!!
