If i got a cold air induction unit for my crown victoria, would that replace the air filter?

dont waste money on over hyped claims of performance. none of these products claim , can spend whole lot of money nothing , severely disappointed improved performance. car has cold air filter there no need put fake 1 on there show or go.
there have been tons of complaints , lot of money spent when gets right down not perform anywhere near claim decided check local mechanic after reading bunch of false claims on internaet , im glad did . many people hare reported check engine lights coming on , not going off , there have been reports of damage thos fake chips have computers in cars if looking dont it. talk mechanic first?

i not sure do. have standard air filter in 99 crown vic. thinking of getting k&n air filter have heard cold air induction units too. cold air induction unit replace regular air filter?
