I'm 19 years old, should I take my chances and move to Hollywood,CA to become a Writer and Filmmaker?

college student in arizona. major in electronic media , film minor in english. not happy, stuck out 2 years , still not motivated continue school there. have had idea of moving out hollywood, ca , more experience in film production, taking college courses here , there. never considered possibility until now. know huge step, think can make work. have family in l.a. stay with. question is, how can make work? pros , cons?
