Ipod Touch Wont charge?

have ipod touch 2nd generation , using last night , tried charge today won't charge @ charged fine last night , tested charging cable sister's ipod , cable , usb port work , don't know whats going on. looked in charging port , saw multiple wire things bent down before , charged fine. don't know whats going on.
