How to stay out of a surfers way in the water?

have been surfing on , off few years now. know rules surfers have when out in ocean, i'm not retard wandering when comes trying paddle out , surfer knocks me out.

went surfing yesterday , couple surfers started yelling @ me, has never happened me before. i'm naturally out way, yesterday packed. funny thing is, surfers surfing me literally, more in way.

may seem bit obvious, swim away him or them went surfing yesterday , lot harder thought. have huge 7 foot longboard , surfers screaming @ me @ times because couldn't out way in time.

tips?
