Why do tropical cyclones hit the East coast of India, but never the West coast?

climatologically (geographically) eurasia africa one.
desert areas of mid-latitudes starting atlantic coast , extend till arabian peninsula & part of indian subcontinent in nw. in sucontinent east comes monsoon zone. both meet in india. bay of bengal being in east under influence of monsoon while arabian sea abutting deserts in west doesn't hold cyclonic circulation required pressure differential not created there.
