Going To, what is this Future Tense called?

it's called present progressive (or continuous) tense. may used action become final in future plans/arrangements have been made.

using example, decide eat something. have started clock ticking action. if comment on before eat, use present progressive - going eat. concept once decision made, action considered ongoing @ time talk it, present tense should used.

i understand future tenses,...

eat - future simple
going eat ????
eating - present continuous
