From 0 to 60 mile work commute. Good enough reason to quit?

last year joined small consulting company. company based in north east consultants on states works remotely. worked remotely till november 1st when assigned client office located 60 miles live. 3 month contract told whatever takes extension. said uncomfortable introducing 2 hours of commuting time life when life scheduled around working home. supervisor told me verbally clients start off insisting on site time allow telecommuting. client told me flat out not allowing me telecommute, wanted local candidate. stuck commute till february, time sure drive through winter storms. has been 4 weeks , have reached breaking point. hate commute since never anticipated. have lived less 20 miles work. potential employers understand reasonable reason leave job?
