Blue Screen of Death HELP!!!!!?

have hp pavillion a6030n. randomly screen couple hours computer being on, or little 30 minutes of being on. i'm curious things besides replacing hardware. , how access bios , change settings in there me fix bsod (blue screen of death) , settings be? drivers can cause bsod happen? information help, , if else fails, how format hard drive , reload os onto hd?
