Maggots found around the house... HELP!!!?

hey on past couple of months have been seeing these maggots around house. have been seeing these grey tubes (a little on cm long) dotted around house walls. bits of dirt/dust made neat little tube. when closely @ tube little maggot red head pokes head out of tube.. , looks around. hell they!? horrible:(. live in uk, , our house isnt dirty or anything, every other house! they, why have them , how rid of them? remove them , clean house keep returning
