Locations of Broadway theaters/shows?

while lots of cities have street called broadway, that. street name. thats in nyc too. section near times square has many professional theaters around it. these call broadway houses, , in nyc.

other cities have professional level theaters, when people refer actual broadway theaters, mean nyc.

this may sound stupid question, can see broadway show in new york or there broadway theaters located in other states , countries?
, if other countries don't have broadway, have similar it?
