How do you take a bath in an Onsen? (Japanese bath)?

because i'm going japan march school travel club, , going staying in traditional ryokan (japanese inn) first night in tokyo. suspect there onsen nearby, don't want pass opportunity , take nice, hot bath. preferrably naked... how? hear there no swim suits allowed! , there guys want take bath, i'll wager. so... how can this?

also, there regulations? onsen come yukata? (japanese robe sleep in , after-bathing wear) tell me know... if you've had experience onsen, please tell me. i'd hear story. :)
