Question about US law firearms?

hello americans~ , if not americans, hello too.

i'm young resident uk. of know, carrying weapon against law in uk. not our police service carry firearm. except in northern ireland considering situation there.

anyways, don't understand why civilian in allow carry firearm if there against law murder? don't see there of use guns if can't intentionally harm someone. maybe self-defence or hunting there things back-fire can happen. read guardian newspaper report people killed firearms, around 9 thousand victims year.

this? why can't banned firearms, use for?
