What price range should I be looking at for an electric guitar?

ok don't listen people tell you have spend lot of money quality guitar. yes, if pay more you'll getting nicer guitar. however, can nice guitar under $500.

1 thing buy used. recommend guitar center's used gear. ordered guitar guitar center $315 , couldn't happier. saved @ least $100 ordering used.

now, maybe don't want order used, there's still great guitars out there cheap!
