new york pretty awesome , i'm not saying because. fear of terrorism smart have,but it's out of paranoia, right? new york safe live in, have know be.. anyways, nyc huge , @ first may seem overwhelming, you'll used it. also, nyc isn't freezing imagine it. 4 seasons here , climates aren't extreme in nyc due atlantic ocean being nearby. crime rate dependent on location, if you're planning on living in epicenter of nyc, you'll fine, mentioning apartments, dollar doesn't go far in real estate region. you'll need plenty of cash lot of space in city. however, living little farther out allows stretch dollar further. these other locations safe. whatever choice is, luck !
