Paintball advise for asthmatics?

went paint balling first time on saturday , loved , took duck water> problem had apart stupid breast plate made me turtle, after running around, mask didn't allow me air needed , need more air other have asthma. im physically fit running fine without mask, needing air because couldn't breathe through mask, felt have asthma attack , haven't had 1 6 years , haven't used pump 4 years now. im looking paintball team , advise great cause breathing hasn't put me off :d
