Evolution wise, why do hens make a lot of noise after laying eggs?

first off, i'm not sure how real phenomenon is; in short career chicken raiser, never noticed that, i'm not sure have. second, assuming you're asking real phenomenon, you'd have confirm chickens in wild well; domestic chickens have been bred quite while other features, selective pressures on them different ones on wild fowl. habits or features of long-time domesticated animals may accidents associated other features have been bred deliberately. third, though - you're doing science! isn't nifty? you've raised question , worked on formulating possible hypothesis explain it. next step generating more hypotheses (those possible answers "why happen?" question), preferably ones explain in different ways, , run tests see ones don't work out. in case, you'd have find out whether question accurately reflects real, you'd want literature search see if has worked out explanation works, , see whether agree it, or whether new information has been accumulated makes old explanation no longer strong one. science sith-like; keep testing our answers make sure they're strong enough survive...

wouldn't invitation predators come , take eggs (and mothers too)?

if made noise while laying eggs, least make sense felt hurt , had scream lol. after doesn't make sense @ all...
