Need help making first surfboard purchase?

need surfboard floats enough paddle , catch wave @ present skill level @ present size. don't know anywhere near enough you, or surf. and, don't have opportunity dialogue.

don't waste time on line, don't know anywhere enough you, or surf, how surf, size (weight import, height isn't), skill level , local wave conditions, , don't have opportunity discuss these things you. aren't surfing buddies, don't surf or know does. go local surf shop (or shop ever surf) , discuss options folks in shop. can give far better advice out here in 'cyberspace'.

give specific advice size or type board buy on-line foolish. take advice more foolish

and, know there lots of nice kids want share information on line. don't take advice youngsters, may know less surfing, surfboard big investment. hope mature enough read through bs lots of people throw @ on line. go spend time folks in shop. find board "just right" , budget.

i moved oahu. have surfed couple times on borrowed boards friends. skill wise, can pretty , ride out, still trying learn turn. time buy own board, not know type/size board get. 5 foot 10 , 180 pounds.
