How do we even know there is a core of the earth? We haven't even been that far down in are earths crust?

i'm 13 year old boy wondering. how know? how know there core of earth? doesn't make sense me...it tectonic plates rubbing against each other creating heat melts rock , iron (or more) , pushing of earth surface releasing molten lava. plus if ever reach down far in earth burn or melt death. can @ planets light-years away dont know whats under out feet.
