Fender MIM or MIA which do you like more?

know have quite few strats laying around. lot better others. on down side, have 1986 fender japan stratocaster. excellent construction. however, has fender vintage noiseless pickups on it. play it. not toneless pickups , have been lazy swap them out.

currently, favorite strats play fender custom shop nos 60 , 3 avri 57 strats. have not been using 1985 avri 57, 1983 , 1986 avri 57 strats getting heavy use. american made.

have couple project strats getting played. 1 mighty mite swamp ash body in surf green 1989 fender american neck on (maple fretboard). have fender 57/62 pickups in neck , middle positions , dimarzio area 61 in bridge positions. since has american neck plays more american strat mim strat. have shell pink body think fender japan matched fender mim neck (maple fretboard). on have mystery pickups. not sure are. guy sold me pickups said came out of mim strat. can see fender mim pickups. don't sound stock mim pickups have ever heard. colors of wires match stock mim pickups. sound more fender custom shop texas specials stock mim pickups. not mim fender tex mex pickups. wire colors wrong those. anyway, mim neck plays pretty other fender standard mim strat, not sound one.

playing @ home these days, theft not problem. have lost share of gear. lost 60s (63 or 64) strat.. had major theft. took 1963 gibson es-335, 1963 rickenbacker 360-12, , 1965 (or 66 never new year was) fender bandmaster amp among other things.

have mim necks better of mia necks. favorites old avri series strats (1992 1987). best regular production strats since cbs bought out leo. of course reason better not regular production. more handcrafted strats. strats excellent.
