How are Italian classmates and schools?

i'm on exchange in italy , i'm pretty living life of normal italian student. i've been here 4 months already.
i'm australia, don't know school system in america, know school system in italy different in australia.

so, italian schools don't have uniform. however, schools students must wear jeans year round. i'm not sure schools, definately schools.

there 1 class entire year. i.e group of 20-30 kids stay together, subjects, in same rooms, year. teachers ones go class class (different teachers different subjects)

majority of italian schools start @ 8:00am , finish between 12:00pm-2:30pm. different days have different hours usually. (i.e have 1 day finishes @ 2:15 , rest finish @ 1:15)

call teachers 'professore' (males) , 'professoressa' (females). don't last name. or call them 'prof' short

of teachers prefer stand walk classroom. (only 3 teachers out of 10.) it's considered polite. not teachers expect this.

, not do, reccomend work set out you. if you're italian beginner or still learning language , have no idea teachers saying, bring in italian workbook/reading book, way you're surrounded italian atmosphere, , studying italian @ same time. that's anyway.

italian classmates awesome. because (as said before) they're in 1 class whole year, bonded , friends. love having exchange students, ask heaps of questions (like many) , curious. expect lot of attention first few days!

hope helped!

p.s sorry if english spelling/grammar bad, haven't spoken english person in 4 months.

how high schools in italy work? i'm going study abroad, have know everything. , not do. how different italian high schools american high schools?
