Are Royal/Ball Pythons good for 12/13 year olds?

depends. 12/13 yr old keep , care animal next 30+ yrs? ball pythons hold record longevity of snakes @ 48 yrs! lifespan of animal consider. i've taken in several snakes fellow college students not keep animals various reasons.

ball pythons pets 1 of least snakes bite. being said, lot can go wrong them if in husbandry wrong or if stressed. not animal should taken out repeatedly long periods of time during day. there other species of snakes easier going , not give problems ball pythons.

consider corn snakes. rosy boas if want hardy similar ball pythons little more active , less stressed.
