Why is south Africa's apartheid significant?
mean significant? significant in present? or past? aftermath of apartheid still prevalent today...and apartheid had significance in past.
past: call legal discrmination against non white people. there racial segregation suburbs whites, blacks, coloured, indians etc seperated geographically.
present: kindly roles have reversed black people have upper hand employment opportunities through things bee , affirmative action. although, text book definition of bee , affirmative action suggests aiding previous disadvantaged (non-whites, women, disabled etc)...they come off black thing. racial suburbs still exist though going 20 years after apartheid ended...its difficult move on out hood type of thing.
