Why are so many ice hockey players left handed?

in spite of rhetoric there little reason difference. right handed both in writing , in shot. have friend left handed in both.
belief when person first picks hockey stick natural tendency hold @ end predominant hand. right handed people hold knob of stick right hand , vice versa. on other hand golf , baseball opposite , because natural movement of golf swing or baseball swing has predominant hand lower down shaft. in fact right handed people hit golf ball more consistency if taught swing left handed. ///ly when teenager taught switch hit in baseball , strange happened. right handed punch , judy hitter high average , little power. left handed became pull hitting power hitter.
