Why do japanese people eat whales?

japanese don't eat whales. i've had japanese friends since 70's, , none of them have ever tried whale meat. don't eat sushi.
there's difference between being racist, , being ignorant. why single out japanese ? there's several other countries still hunt whales, , there's american groups in alaska area have hunted whales. people eat cats, dogs , rabbits.
why 1 animal have more of right live on ?
face it, humans cold blooded killers. soylent green next.

i have japanese friend used eat whales ( doesnt eat them anymore...).
told me whales taste cow or something......
why dont eat cow instead whales?????
im not being racist here.... countries hate japanese eating whales.. why dont quit eating them....
