Is it true that Portuguese are Lazy?

hi, i'm canadian citizen living in lisbon quite long time, guesse can give more accurate answer.
stating portuguese people lazy unfair prejudice historical routes. started colonial empires in europe , it's respective ruling elites. portugal, once richest country in europe , major naval power on world, saw of it's money spent in opulent castles , palaces, high quality fabrics, jewels, parties etc. no other nation, spent of it's earnings in such frivolous ways in europe. portuguese court, used opulence, when catherine of bragança married english king, when portugal in decline, told it's parents how rude english court was. introduced tableware (like forks, etc), 5 'clock tea (yes it's portuguese tradition adopted british), etc. portugal main slavery booster, , farmers used have slaves work them until 1761 when slavery abolished in portugal , it's asian colonies, , slaves sent brazil. kind of things, , decline of portuguese economy, literally lived of it's colonies till far 1975, made other europeans brand portuguese people lazy, yet, unlike said today, due it's crises, portuguese people not lazy, , in fact work more hours day, earn less, have less vacancies , holidays in of weatern europe.

ps: it's funny, because in portugal, widespread stereotype black people lazy, yet, 500 years, lived "white masters" of it's black slaves work. proves stereotype of time inaccurate.
