Help driving stick shift please! 2 Questions I couldn't find the answer to anywhere.?

1- when approaching traffic light in 3rd or 4th gear, i'm pressing brakes in hope traffic light turn green , dont have press clutch down shift way ect. however, getting closer notice traffic light stay red. can press clutch after break? or have take right foot of break, clutch, brake? in other words can press clutch after break?

2- can't seem figure out how start stop uphill using side brake. want learn how start without rolling down. left foot way in clutch, start car side brake up. take feet of clutch while adding gas , lowering side brake. can't work!! i'm giving , killing me! i'd appreciate help!!

3- how many times can stall car before becomes issue?
